Mouse NUP62 (Nuclear Pore Glycoprotein P62) ELISA Kit

Mouse NUP62 (Nuclear Pore Glycoprotein P62) ELISA Kit

The Mouse (NUP62) Nuclear Pore Glycoprotein P62 ELISA Kit measures Nuclear Pore Glycoprotein P62 in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse NUP62 antibody. NUP62 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse NUP62 Antibody is added and binds to NUP62 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated NUP62 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse NUP62. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Essential component of the nuclear pore complex. The N-terminal is probably involved in nucleocytoplasmic transport. The C-terminal is involved in protein-protein interaction probably via coiled-coil formation, promotes its association with centrosomes and may function in anchorage of p62 to the pore complex. Plays a role in mitotic cell cycle progression by regulating centrosome segregation, centriole maturation and spindle orientation. It might be involved in protein recruitment to the centrosome after nuclear breakdown. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
