Mouse PGK1 (Phosphoglycerate Kinase 1) ELISA Kit
The Mouse (PGK1) Phosphoglycerate Kinase 1 ELISA Kit measures Phosphoglycerate Kinase 1 in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse PGK1 antibody. PGK1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse PGK1 Antibody is added and binds to PGK1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated PGK1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse PGK1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Catalyzes one of the two ATP producing reactions in the glycolytic pathway via the reversible conversion of 1,3-diphosphoglycerate to 3-phosphoglycerate. In addition to its role as a glycolytic enzyme, it seems that PGK-1 acts as a polymerase alpha cofactor protein (primer recognition protein). May play a role in sperm motility.
