The Mouse (PPAR-B) Peroxisome Proliferator-activated Receptor Beta ELISA Kit measures Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor beta in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse PPARD antibody. PPARD present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse PPARD Antibody is added and binds to PPARD in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated PPARD antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse PPARD. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Has a preference for poly-unsaturated fatty acids, such as gamma-linoleic acid and eicosapentanoic acid. Once activated by a ligand, the receptor binds to promoter elements of target genes. Regulates the peroxisomal beta-oxidation pathway of fatty acids. Functions as transcription activator for the acyl-CoA oxidase gene.
