The Mouse (REG3G) Regenerating Islet-derived Protein 3-gamma ELISA Kit measures Regenerating islet-derived protein 3-gamma in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse REG3G antibody. REG3G present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse REG3G Antibody is added and binds to REG3G in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated REG3G antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse REG3G. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
BackgroundBactericidal C-type lectin which acts exclusively against Gram-positive bacteria and mediates bacterial killing by binding to surface-exposed carbohydrate moieties of peptidoglycan. Restricts bacterial colonization of the intestinal epithelial surface and consequently limits activation of adaptive immune responses by the microbiota. The uncleaved form has bacteriostatic activity, whereas the cleaved form has bactericidal activity against L.monocytogenes and methicillin-resistant S.aureus. Regulates keratinocyte proliferation and differentiation after skin injury. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
