Mouse SFRP1 (Secreted Frizzled Related Protein 1) ELISA Kit
Mouse SFRP1 (Secreted Frizzled Related Protein 1) ELISA Kit
The Mouse (SFRP1) Secreted Frizzled Related Protein 1 ELISA Kit measures Secreted Frizzled Related Protein 1 in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse SFRP1 antibody. SFRP1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse SFRP1 Antibody is added and binds to SFRP1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated SFRP1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse SFRP1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Soluble frizzled-related proteins (sFRPS) function as modulators of Wnt signaling through direct interaction with Wnts. They have a role in regulating cell growth and differentiation in specific cell types. SFRP1 decreases intracellular beta-catenin levels (By similarity). Has antiproliferative effects on vascular cells, in vitro and in vivo, and can induce, in vivo, an angiogenic response. In vascular cell cycle, delays the G1 phase and entry into the S phase. In kidney development, inhibits tubule formation and bud growth in metanephroi (By similarity). Inhibits WNT1/WNT4-mediated TCF-dependent transcription (By similarity).
