Mouse SP-D (Pulmonary Surfatcant-associated Protein D) ELISA Kit
Mouse SP-D (Pulmonary Surfatcant-associated Protein D) ELISA Kit
The Mouse (SP-D) Pulmonary Surfatcant-associated Protein D ELISA Kit measures Pulmonary Surfatcant-Associated Protein D in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse SFTPD antibody. SFTPD present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse SFTPD Antibody is added and binds to SFTPD in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated SFTPD antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse SFTPD. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Contributes to the lung's defense against inhaled microorganisms, organic antigens and toxins. Interacts with compounds such as bacterial lipopolysaccharides, oligosaccharides and fatty acids and modulates leukocyte action in immune response. May participate in the extracellular reorganization or turnover of pulmonary surfactant. Binds strongly maltose residues and to a lesser extent other alpha-glucosyl moieties.
