Mouse TXNIP (Thioredoxin-interacting Protein) ELISA Kit
Mouse TXNIP (Thioredoxin-interacting Protein) ELISA Kit
The Mouse (TXNIP) Thioredoxin-interacting Protein ELISA Kit measures Thioredoxin-interacting protein in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse TXNIP antibody. TXNIP present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse TXNIP Antibody is added and binds to TXNIP in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated TXNIP antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse TXNIP. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
May act as an oxidative stress mediator by inhibiting thioredoxin activity or by limiting its bioavailability. Interacts with COPS5 and restores COPS5-induced suppression of CDKN1B stability, blocking the COPS5-mediated translocation of CDKN1B from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. Inhibits the proteasomal degradation of DDIT4, and thereby contributes to the inhibition of the mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1) (By similarity).
Functions as a transcriptional repressor, possibly by acting as a bridge molecule between transcription factors and corepressor complexes, and over-expression will induce G0/G1 cell cycle arrest. Required for the maturation of natural killer cells. Acts as a suppressor of tumor cell growth. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
