Porcine C1QA (Complement C1Q Subcomponent Subunit A) ELISA Kit
Porcine C1QA (Complement C1Q Subcomponent Subunit A) ELISA Kit
The Porcine (C1QA) Complement C1Q Subcomponent Subunit A ELISA Kit measures Complement C1Q Subcomponent Subunit A in Porcine samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Porcine C1QA antibody. C1QA present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Porcine C1QA Antibody is added and binds to C1QA in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated C1QA antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Porcine C1QA. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
C1q associates with the proenzymes C1r and C1s to yield C1, the first component of the serum complement system. The collagen-like regions of C1q interact with the Ca(2+)-dependent C1r(2)C1s(2) proenzyme complex, and efficient activation of C1 takes place on interaction of the globular heads of C1q with the Fc regions of IgG or IgM antibody present in immune complexes.
