Porcine SPP1 (Osteopontin) ELISA Kit
Porcine SPP1 (Osteopontin) ELISA Kit
The Porcine (SPP1) Osteopontin ELISA Kit measures Osteopontin in Porcine samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Porcine SPP1 antibody. SPP1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Porcine SPP1 Antibody is added and binds to SPP1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated SPP1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Porcine SPP1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Major non-collagenous bone protein that binds tightly to hydroxyapatite. Appears to form an integral part of the mineralized matrix. Probably important to cell-matrix interaction. Acts as a cytokine involved in enhancing production of interferon-gamma and interleukin-12 and reducing production of interleukin-10 and is essential in the pathway that leads to type I immunity.
