Rat CTSG (Cathepsin G) ELISA Kit
Rat CTSG (Cathepsin G) ELISA Kit
The Rat (CTSG) Cathepsin G ELISA Kit measures Cathepsin G in Rat samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Rat CTSG antibody. CTSG present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Rat CTSG Antibody is added and binds to CTSG in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CTSG antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Rat CTSG. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Cathepsin G is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CTSG gene. It is one of the three serine proteases of the chymotrypsin family that are stored in the azurophil granules, and also a member of the peptidase S1 protein family. Cathepsin G plays an important role in eliminating intracellular pathogens and breaking down tissues at inflammatory sites, as well as in anti-inflammatory response. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
