Rat DMD (Dystrophin) ELISA Kit
Rat DMD (Dystrophin) ELISA Kit
The Rat (DMD) Dystrophin ELISA Kit measures dystrophin in Rat samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Rat DMD antibody. DMD present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Rat DMD Antibody is added and binds to DMD in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated DMD antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Rat DMD. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Anchors the extracellular matrix to the cytoskeleton via F-actin. Ligand for dystroglycan. Component of the dystrophin-associated glycoprotein complex which accumulates at the neuromuscular junction (NMJ) and at a variety of synapses in the peripheral and central nervous systems and has a structural function in stabilizing the sarcolemma. Also implicated in signaling events and synaptic transmission. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
