Rat F7 (Coagulation Factor 7) ELISA Kit
Rat F7 (Coagulation Factor 7) ELISA Kit
The Rat (F7) Coagulation Factor 7 ELISA Kit measures Coagulation Factor 7 in Rat samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Rat F7 antibody. F7 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Rat F7 Antibody is added and binds to F7 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated F7 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Rat F7. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Initiates the extrinsic pathway of blood coagulation. Serine protease that circulates in the blood in a zymogen form. Factor VII is converted to factor VIIa by factor Xa, factor XIIa, factor IXa, or thrombin by minor proteolysis. In the presence of tissue factor and calcium ions, factor VIIa then converts factor X to factor Xa by limited proteolysis. Factor VIIa will also convert factor IX to factor IXa in the presence of tissue factor and calcium (By similarity). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
