Rat GPS1 (Cop9 Signalosome Compex Subunit 1) ELISA Kit
Rat GPS1 (Cop9 Signalosome Compex Subunit 1) ELISA Kit
The Rat (GPS1) Cop9 Signalosome Compex Subunit 1 ELISA Kit measures Cop9 Signalosome Compex Subunit 1 in Rat samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Rat GPS1 antibody. GPS1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Rat GPS1 Antibody is added and binds to GPS1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated GPS1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Rat GPS1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Essential component of the COP9 signalosome complex (CSN), a complex involved in various cellular and developmental processes. The CSN complex is an essential regulator of the ubiquitin (Ubl) conjugation pathway by mediating the deneddylation of the cullin subunits of SCF-type E3 ligase complexes, leading to decrease the Ubl ligase activity of SCF-type complexes such as SCF, CSA or DDB2. The complex is also involved in phosphorylation of p53/TP53, c-jun/JUN, IkappaBalpha/NFKBIA, ITPK1 and IRF8/ICSBP, possibly via its association with CK2 and PKD kinases. CSN-dependent phosphorylation of TP53 and JUN promotes and protects degradation by the Ubl system, respectively. Suppresses G-protein- and mitogen-activated protein kinase-mediated signal transduction (By similarity). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
