Rat HIF3A (Hypoxia-inducible Factor 3-alpha) ELISA Kit

Rat HIF3A (Hypoxia-inducible Factor 3-alpha) ELISA Kit

The Rat (HIF3A) Hypoxia-inducible Factor 3-alpha ELISA Kit measures Hypoxia-Inducible Factor 3-Alpha in Rat samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Rat HIF3A antibody. HIF3A present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Rat HIF3A Antibody is added and binds to HIF3A in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated HIF3A antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Rat HIF3A. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Research Areas Cardiovascular
Background Acts as a transcriptional regulator in adaptive response to low oxygen tension. Attenuates the ability of transcription factor HIF1A, EPAS1 and the HIF1A-ARNT complex to bind to hypoxia-responsive elements (HRE) located within the enhancer/promoter of hypoxia-inducible target genes and hence inhibits HRE-driven transcriptional activation. Functions as an inhibitor of angiogenesis in hypoxic cells of the cornea. Plays a role in the development of the cardiorespiratory system. May also be involved in apoptosis. May act as a tumor suppressor. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
