Rat LIF (Leukemia Inhibitory Factor) ELISA Kit
The Rat (LIF) Leukemia Inhibitory Factor ELISA Kit measures leukemia inhibitory factor in Rat samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Rat LIF antibody. LIF present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Rat LIF Antibody is added and binds to LIF in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated LIF antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Rat LIF. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Its activities include the induction of hematopoietic differentiation in normal and myeloid leukemia cells, the induction of neuronal cell differentiation, and the stimulation of acute-phase protein synthesis in hepatocytes.
