Rat PDYN (Proenkephalin-B) ELISA Kit
Rat PDYN (Proenkephalin-B) ELISA Kit
The Rat (PDYN) Proenkephalin-B ELISA Kit measures Proenkephalin-B in Rat samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Rat PDYN antibody. PDYN present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Rat PDYN Antibody is added and binds to PDYN in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated PDYN antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Rat PDYN. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Leu-enkephalins compete with and mimic the effects of opiate drugs. They play a role in a number of physiologic functions, including pain perception and responses to stress (By similarity).
Dynorphin peptides differentially regulate the kappa opioid receptor. Dynorphin A(1-13) has a typical opiod activity, it is 700 times more potent than Leu-enkephalin (By similarity).
Leumorphin has a typical opiod activity and may have anti-apoptotic effect. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
