Rat SCN2B (Sodium Channel Subunit Beta-2) ELISA Kit
Rat SCN2B (Sodium Channel Subunit Beta-2) ELISA Kit
The Rat (SCN2B) Sodium Channel Subunit Beta-2 ELISA Kit measures Sodium Channel subunit beta-2 in Rat samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Rat SCN2B antibody. SCN2B present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Rat SCN2B Antibody is added and binds to SCN2B in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated SCN2B antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Rat SCN2B. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Crucial in the assembly, expression, and functional modulation of the heterotrimeric complex of the sodium channel. The subunit beta-2 causes an increase in the plasma membrane surface area and in its folding into microvilli. Interacts with TNR may play a crucial role in clustering and regulation of activity of sodium channels at nodes of Ranvier. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
