The Rat (TCF-4) Transcription Factor 4 ELISA Kit measures Transcription Factor 4 in Rat samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Rat TCF4 antibody. TCF4 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Rat TCF4 Antibody is added and binds to TCF4 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated TCF4 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Rat TCF4. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Transcription factor that binds to the immunoglobulin enhancer Mu-E5/KE5-motif. Involved in the initiation of neuronal differentiation. Activates transcription by binding to the E box (5'-CANNTG-3'). Binds to the E-box present in the somatostatin receptor 2 initiator element (SSTR2-INR) to activate transcription (By similarity).
