Sheep AVP (Vasopressin-neurophysin 2-copeptin) ELISA Kit

Sheep AVP (Vasopressin-neurophysin 2-copeptin) ELISA Kit

The Sheep (AVP) Vasopressin-neurophysin 2-copeptin ELISA Kit measures Vasopressin-neurophysin 2-copeptin in Sheep samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Sheep AVP antibody. AVP present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Sheep AVP Antibody is added and binds to AVP in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated AVP antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Sheep AVP. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Neurophysin 2 specifically binds vasopressin. Vasopressin has a direct antidiuretic action on the kidney, it also causes vasoconstriction of the peripheral vessels. Acts by binding to vasopressin receptors (V1bR/AVPR1B, V1aR/AVPR1A, and V2R/AVPR2) (By similarity). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
